Destination Highlights:
Enjoy the nearly 48 miles cruise through the Panama Canal. Our voyage features daylight hour transit with numerous observation vantage points for outside viewing and comfortable indoor air-conditioned lounges. Expert onboard commentary enhances this bucket list journey.
One of the best souvenirs of this journey is a hand-embroidered mola made by the Kuna Indians, something that is only sold in Panama and Colombia. One of the best places to buy them is at the handicrafts market in Balboa.
Birders take note: Colombia has the highest bird diversity of any country with more than 1,900 species, and our excursion to Cartagena’s National Aviary makes the perfect day.
Brightly dressed palenquera ladies – carrying fruit trays on their heads – add to the beauty and attraction of Cartagena.
